The DEFRA-approved 5kW Malham Cylindrical Woodburning Stove in Soapstone combines contemporary Scandinavian design with exceptional heating performance. Independently laboratory tested, it exceeds the latest EcoDesign standards, delivering outstanding efficiency with ultra-low emissions.
The Malham is also DEFRA exempt, making it approved for use in UK Smoke Control Areas and an ideal choice for clean-burning, environmentally responsible heating.
Finished in premium natural soapstone, the Malham has a striking sculptural appearance that enhances both modern and traditional interiors. Its elegant cylindrical design makes it equally at home as a freestanding feature or positioned beautifully within a corner installation.
Soapstone is renowned for its outstanding heat-retention properties. Once heated, it absorbs and stores warmth before slowly releasing it back into the room for hours after the fire has died down. This creates a gentle, consistent heat rather than the sharp temperature fluctuations associated with traditional steel stoves, providing greater comfort while helping to maximise fuel efficiency.
The Malham is built with a substantial 30mm thick soapstone top and 50mm thick soapstone side panels, giving the stove a premium finish while significantly increasing its heat storage capability.
